Burnley Council - Queensgate Ward

Description

Bags of animal blood and raw meat have been left on the back street between Colne Road and Waterbarn Street, these absolutely stink and are presenting a hazard to public health. Carrion, cats and vermin have been picking at this waste eating it and spreading it around. There is already a rat problem in the area and fly-tipping like this is making it much, much worse. There are labels on the meat packaging which appear to suggest the source of this waste is takeaways and shops in the area which sell meat and meat products, some of the labels suggest they are of central European origin. Enforcement action is badly needed against those who dump waste like this on back streets and elsewhere.
